In addition to our literary offerings, we carry exceptional puzzle lines from White Mountain Puzzles, New York Puzzle Company, Madd Capp Games and Puzzles, and Heye Puzzles, including 1000-piece, 500-piece, 300-piece and mini-puzzles. We also carry a variety of playing cards and games from Stonemaier Games, Blue Orange Games, and Asmodee Games, featuring award-winning games including Wingspan, Viticulture, Photosynthesis, and Splendor. My Why

I have always dreamed of working for myself and wanted my future in my own hands, and to do something that would have an impact on my community, and leave a legacy for my family, especially my grandchildren. However, I would have never left the security of a perfectly good job, had it not been for the fact that I was early-retired from my position of 15 years. I wasted no time working on my dream, and considered available business opportunities in the Plymouth area and chose the one that most aligned with my personal interests and that would best serve the community. Next, I got busy sourcing new and interesting customer offerings, got my financing in place, and Books and More was born!

There’s a long and storied history of bookstores in Plymouth, beginning with Books Etc., opened by former PHS Math teacher, the late Ted Harris, and his wife, Kleo, in 1994. The torch was passed to Susan Noordyk and the name was changed to Book Heads and the location also changed. Cara Schofield later purchased the store and soon moved its location next door, and I purchased it in September 2023.

The new store added games, puzzles, toys, purses, jewelry, and more to its customer offerings and has been steadily busy since opening on September 19, 2023. Books can still be ordered for customer requests and there will be opportunities to connect with others through book clubs, game night and puzzle night. I’m happy to be a part of downtown Plymouth and hope you can visit soon!
